Don’t write about the weather

This is an instruction in an article about not writing a crock of shit. Personally I think weather is very important. In Hilary Mantel’s prizewinning novel Wolf Hall one of the recurring themes is the weather over the river Thames. Weather can create mood, show someone’s personality depending on their reaction to it, can help conjure up a picture. Weather is good. Although today in the Scottish Borders it is flipping freezing.
